What is Enrichment Daycare?
Our small-group or private Enrichment Daycare offers physical and mental exercise that is crucial to your dog’s emotional well-being. While your pup is participating in Enrichment Daycare your pup gets to rotate through multiple sessions that align with your dog’s personality traits, habits, lifestyle, prior experiences, abilities, behaviors, and levels of agility so that your pups Enrichment program positively benefits and enhances your dog’s life, as well as your own. Your pup will participate in brain activities (puzzle games), sensory activities (scent work or different textures), structured athletics (agility or obstacle courses), and social activities (small group play or one-on-one attention). Each individualized Enrichment Program promotes patience, focus, social skills, exercise, rest, learning, and confidence which creates a well-rounded and balanced dog.
What vaccines are required to attend Orion Retreat for lodging or daycare?
To ensure the health and safety of each guest, all dogs entering Orion Retreat and Daycare are required to provide vaccination records from their veterinarian at least 7 days before arrival.
Dogs must have current:
- Rabies
- Bordetella at least once a year
- Distemper Combo
- DHLPP – Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvo and Parainfluenza
- Or DHPP – Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvo and Parainfluenza
- Negative Fecal Test
- Canine Influenza (CIV) – we will accept dogs with the first round of CIV as long as your pup gets the second round 2-4 weeks from the first one.
- Flea and tick preventative
Can you administer medication?
Yes, we can administer medication. If your pet needs medication, supplements, or vitamins, we require that you provide them to us in the original container. The container must clearly indicate the dogs name, medication name, strength, dosage, and the prescribing veterinarian, if applicable. Please do not bring any medication, supplements, or vitamins already mixed with your pet’s food.
NOTE: Medication administration fees will apply.
What are your hours of operation?
- Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm
- Saturday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
- Sunday Departures Only – 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm or by appointment
Lodging Arrivals and Departures
Please arrive no later than 3:00 pm to allow your pet time to have some fun and acclimate to the environment and our team before bedtime.
- Check-out before 10:00 am: No Charge
- Check-out by noon: 50% of the lodging package
- Check-outs after 2:00 pm will be charged the full package price unless there is a bathing or grooming service scheduled
Why do you require reservations for daycare?
Having a reservation allows us to schedule the appropriate number of team members for each type of Daycare program we offer to ensure each dog has a safe and personalized experience.
Can we tour your facility?
To ensure that we have the appropriate staff member to show you what we are all about and to give you our undivided attention, please stop by for a tour Monday through Friday during 10:00am – 12:00pm or 2:00pm – 4:00pm to avoid our busy arrival and departure times.
